CLASS LEVELS All Levels: Practitioners of all levels are welcome in this slower paced, inner directed class. Level 1: Slower paced class with emphasis on alignment. Recommended for beginners and those returning to their practice after a long absence. Level 1-2: Intermediate Practice. Strong, invigorating class that is physically and mentally challenging, but accessible to athletic beginners without injuries. Level 2: Intermediate to Advanced. Fast paced, challenging class for students with a regular yoga practice where you will work to your own capacity. Not appropriate for beginners. Level 2/3: Advanced class designed for students who are dedicated to a regular Yoga practice and interested in deepening your understanding of the practice of Yoga. Not appropriate for beginners.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Yoga Therapeutics: Slower paced Hatha class emphasizes proper alignment and therapeutic applications of poses. Serving people of all ages who are dealing with physical injuries or limitations. Must be able to move from the floor back to standing and back to the floor without assistance. Recommended for first time students or those with physical injuries. Pilates Therapeutics — Special 30 minute Pilates class emphasizes proper alignment, retraining of the musculoskeletal system with strictly therapeutic applications of the Pilates method. Serving people of all ages who dealing with physical injuries/limitations. Must be able to move from floor to standing back to floor without assistance. Hatha/Yoga With Heart: Slower-paced standing & seated postures combined with slower moving sequences emphasizing alignment, breathing, awareness, and working within your limits. Recommended for beginners. Vinyasa: Moment to moment connection to highest using breath awareness and alignment as movement with intention as a form of meditation. Holding poses will build heat, open and strengthen the physical and subtle energy channels in the body so you feel more connected to yourself and the world around you. Flow: Moving sequences that flow one pose into the next. Gentle Flow available to athletic beginners while Dynamic Flow is not recommended for beginners. Restorative: Rest deeply and connect to your inner intelligence and stillness, nourishing and balancing the body with the support of props. Recommended for beginners.
